Microsoft recently announced some features of Windows 7. The main part of their demo was Windows' newest "cool" feature: multi-touch.
At this point, people immediately jump on Microsoft. They feel that Microsoft is, once again, "stealing" from Apple. But, how exactly? Microsoft has been developing Surface for a while now, and they've been talking about if for even longer. Just because Apple came out with the iPhone (which has multi-touch) first, Microsoft is "stealing". Also, people claim that the multi-touch track pad on the overly-expensive MacBooks is a demonstration of "multi-touch"... but what Windows 7 displays is for tablet PCs.
People feel that Microsoft is focusing too much on this stuff without fixing Vista problems. Well, at this point Microsoft has only really released info about multi-touch, so honestly we don't know much about what Windows 7 will really have in store for us.
Once again Microsoft is jumped on, and Apple is given WAY too much credit.

NHL on Versus
Why is it that the NHL is on Versus? Why did commissioner Gary Betman even sign a contract extension with Versus? Ice hockey isn't too popular of a sport in the United States. However, why should it be shunned off onto some unknown channel? A lot of times, Versus doesn't even come with basic cable.
ESPN made a decision to separate from hockey during the lockout season. Now that there is no lockout, why didn't Betman try to get a TV deal with ESPN... a more widely watched channel? Half way through the season, and there have been about 30 games shown on Versus. That isn't the kind of TV coverage that the NHL should be getting.
Soon... it will become a problem for the sport. But... what then? Versus has a contract for three more years...
